Ampoule, Vial, & Syringe Packaging Made Easy
MPI’s Pharmacy Accessory Bagging System is an electric table-top barcoding packaging solution for printing and packaging parenteral and injectable medicines such as ampoules, vials, and prefilled syringes. Our PABS medical device provides the capability of loading, printing, barcoding, and sealing medications in a few simple steps.
How it Works: Pharmaceutical Applications
Bags are blown open through an internal fan, which channels high-volume, low-pressure ducted air into the bag for easy product loading. Labeling and barcoding are done directly on the secondary packaging by an integrated 203 DPI thermal imprinter with 4″ wide printhead, eliminating costly labels and allowing for customization of barcoding to the requirements of each pharma manufacturer.
Improved Patient Safety
The PABS machine is transforming the pharmaceutical industry by securing the packaging process with product integrity in mind. By automating loading, printing, barcoding, and sealing in a minimal number of steps, pharmacies can virtually eliminate mislabeled bagged products.
- Labeling and barcoding are done directly on the bag, eliminating the need to place labels on secondary packaging manually.
- 4.3″ full-color touchscreen to control packaging operations.
- Operated by foot pedal to offer “hands-free” filling.
- Seals completely each time to eliminate airborne particles and delivers consistent and tamper-evident seals.
- Barcode Scan Check: Scanning bulk bottle before packaging verifies proper drug.
- Tall-Man Lettering: Helps reduce “looks alike, sounds alike” errors.
Customized for Your Needs
We know that not all pharmaceutical products are the same and each needs varying medical packaging options, that is why we provide customization abilities for our packaging materials.
- Standard bags offered in a variety of sizes, are 2 ml thick featuring one side clear and one side white and vent hole.
- Custom, amber-colored bags are available in 2″ x 4″ packaging options to assist in differentiating between types of medication.
- Automatic paced-rate operation is provided with an adjustable fill time delay.
- Optional adjustable load shelf for easy loading of bulk or heavy products.
- Different bag sizes for all your packaging needs
Decrease Cost & Increase Efficiency
With our advanced technology, technicians can easily drop an ampoule, vial, or pre-filled syringe into a high-strength horizontal flow wrapper. Press a foot pedal to seal and advance the bag.
- High speed: produces up to thirty-five (35) filled and sealed bags per minute.
- All-electric: no pneumatic air required.
