MPI’s Pak-EDGE® UD Barcode Labeling Software Version 2.0 is a customizable labeling program for medical and pharmaceutical markets. This advanced labeling program provides a single user interface to all MPI packaging systems, included in the purchase of a new packaging system.

How it Works: Software Functionality & Label Solutions

  • Single Drug Library: provides comprehensive sorting and search capabilities within a single drug library. Optional access to First Databank drug database and images, Tall-Man lettering, and multiple sorting options. The library includes database fields like generic name, trade name, strength, NDC #, manufacturer name, drug class code, and more.
  • Label Designer: Access to a label designer, equipped with a live label preview, allows you to customize label content to meet the packaging facility requirements.
  • Advanced Barcoding: includes a graphical user interface, barcode builder, advanced barcode capabilities, unlimited barcodes, 1D, 2D, and GS1 barcode formats.
  • Centralized Network Support: network installation of Pak-EDGE® provides the ability to maintain a centralized database accessible by multiple computers using the client-server model. Allows many shared features including drug library, users, and remote tasks across multiple locations.
  • Hardware Requirements: computer with Windows 10 or higher operating system, 10 GB hard drive space, 8 GB RAM, Processor 2 GHz or faster, available USB ports, desktop or network printer for reports, Internet access for product updates and remote support, DVD Rom Drive, and 2D barcode scanner.

Comprehensive Reporting Functionalities

Reporting tools include comprehensive search, index, and help features as well as an export feature for all reports to a Microsoft® Excel or Adobe PDF file. The job stacking and batch approvals component allows a technician to perform multiple tasks for later supervisory approval along with options to pre-approve and post-approve for drug packaging supporting the internal supply chain. 

Simple & Customizable Label Printing

Our software simplifies printing labels with customizable design and content. Pak-EDGE is easy to use, allowing you to modify label design and content while producing packaged medications compliant with regulatory standards. The program auto-calculates shelf life for local laws and product-specific requirements.

On August 1, 2012, MPI discontinued all sales, name changes, upgrades, enhancements, and patches associated with MPI’s WinPak™ Software, including Auto-Print®, Fluidose®, and MPI Label. MPI’s WinPak™ software is not compatible with Microsoft Windows® 7 operating system, and Microsoft discontinued XP support on April 8, 2014, at which time MPI also discontinued technical support for all versions of WinPak™ software.
